Mars & Jupiter Shenanigans ~ 12 Sep 2020

In case you’re feeling some swirling, shifting energy in the air, Mars retrograded three days ago. Jupiter turns direct today.

Mars retrograde!? Oh no! Does that mean I can’t do anything?

No. What it does mean is that everything you intended to do and didn’t since Mars reached the retrograde shadow (the degree to which Mars will backtrack), which occurred on 25 July, needs to be reviewed, edited, replotted and when all that feels comprehensively applied, then launched. Or perhaps even dig back to when Mars entered Aries on 28 June. States Mars, “What? You want an invitation? I stopped on the trail so you and your psyche could catch up. You know you gotta do it. Let’s rock on.”

So is it okay to commence something under Mars retrograde that didn’t get started before? Yes. However, a review to check if any amendment to actions is required serves the purposes of you and Jupiter. Well-intended actions and efforts seem like the best move. Jupiter agrees that a solid, reasonable belief behind stuff that you do is a verification of a wise personal doctrine.

As with any retrograde, Mars makes a direct alignment to the Sun at the midpoint of the retrograde. Symbolically, maximum light and conscious attention occurs in a straight line of sight view. In the midst of the reversed planet tracks, exists a short duration of “cleared for take off” for unconditional advancement of the planet in question. In this case, on 13 October, with Mars in opposition to the Sun, the red planet gets a green light. On this day, trepidation and hesitation are better left at home.

On 19 October Mars in Aries squares Jupiter in Capricorn. This aspect could inspire Monday morning reality quarter backing as to whether actions taken on the recent solar alignment were a good idea. Better to apply the essence of the transit in adjusting beliefs to support and amplify actions taken. If extended efforts serve to support all things Capricorn in a big way (professional advancement, economic gain, personal evolution and alignment with dharma), great! If not, a rationale that is not wayward justification needs to be cultivated. After all, each instinctive action had a thought (or reaction) behind it, and was malice free, correct?

Mars remains reversed for a spell. He turns direct first thing on 14 November (according to GMT). What a shift will be felt at this time. Suddenly grinding gears give way to forward motion and properly revving engines. Yes, the way is clear for commencing tasks that have been held in check until a more appropriate time. Those applying Mars throughout the retrograde as outlined above stand to be much further down the road than those starting only now. Progress and advancement does occur under Mars retrograde, albeit because of fastidious planning and precise execution. Those who responded to Jupiter being the most superior planetary transit due to all of his opportunistic prodding, grand coloration and massive size are even a greater distance down the road. It is true: Jupiter turning direct supersedes Mars moving retrograde.

Jupiter’s return to direct motion insists that all good ideas you had to which you responded with, “That’s a good idea. Someone should do it,” or “I’ll do that later,” well, this is later and now is that time. Sort through any uninitiated creative recollections or idea recordings or documentation of brainstorms that came your way after the time Jupiter retrograded on 14 May up until now. When sorted, establish priorities and punctuate those most important mental morsels with full-blown activation.

With Jupiter direct, this is the part of 2020 you’ve been waiting to happen. Maybe it does not feel like it in the moment, but note and take time to sense that many paths are now cleared, safe openings occurring and those with opportunity instinct and a belief that “there’s no time like the present” certainly burst from the gate as if supercharged. Anything, whether product, concept, belief system, cause or contribution to the greater agenda stand to gain significant ground with Jupiter’s restored prograde movement. Whether it’s your plan or even better, Jupiter’s plan, assume it is worthy of your fullest attention and engagement. Jupiter gives enthusiastic and double thumbs up and grants buoyant lifting of spirits for those mentally aligned and grooving good.

According to Jupiter, all is not lost with 2020. Something can be made of this year yet. Sure, when Mars turns direct in November it will make more sense and feel a hell of a lot easier. When Jupiter and Saturn align in December a great unveiling of all the benefit of this year’s isolation, enforced focus during limited activity finally takes center stage. Clearly, that time and these revelations work in ways that offer relief to Eris’ agenda of inclusion and the theme of this year due to her intense aspects with Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. Take a moment to consider if all the things on your plate cause you to feel as if your spirit fits in your skin.

While the next two months or so could feel like more stutter-stepping, if Mars’ motion is applied for enough impulse control and to ask “Why am I seeking this action and does it fit into my big picture plan for life outcomes?” then Jupiter stands satisfied.

Here’s to clear and conscious actions in response to directives mandated by ones personal authority! Here’s to 2020 developing into something worthwhile yet!

More soon.
